This project includes the construction of a new 550 capacity, two-story facility for students in grade 8 and 9. The school will be built to the current B.C. Building Code and in alignment with LEED Gold standards, providing additional energy savings throughout the life of the school.

Construction was started in December 2020 with a completion date of March 2022. Construction was delayed due to COVID 19, supply chain issues, and material escalations. This resulted in major delays and multiple major subtrade defaults. FPEI completed the project into active occupancy allowing the school to open for the Fall 2022. Due to escalating delay costs, JCCL elected to self perform the balance of the contract on November 5, 2022. Project Certificate of Completion was issued August 28, 2023, 18 months after the original master schedule date issued on contract by JCCL.
